
Matthew “Zap” Molloy
Major General (ret), USAF Director, Mission Management Office at Dell Technologies
Matt “Zap” Molloy currently serves as the Director of the Mission Management and Strategic Programs at Dell Technologies in McLean, VA. His office assists both the federal customer and Dell’s solution/support teams with understanding how particular technologies can optimally enable mission outcomes. This team provides the important mission context within complex programs and classified environments to optimally shape solutions, drive transformational change, and achieve customer/warfighter objectives.
With an extensive military background, Molloy is a retired Major General in the U.S. Air Force, having commanded various operational units, including the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center and the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base. He has spearheaded test and evaluation efforts for over 98 major Department of Defense acquisition programs, including the Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) of the F-35. Molloy was also the deputy advisor to the Commander USNORTHCOM on all operational matters, providing strategic guidance to plan and execute land, maritime, and homeland air defense missions as well as defense support to civil authorities. He holds multiple advanced degrees in military strategy, operational art, and aerospace engineering.
