Orville Jauregui

Systems Engineer, Reliance Test & Technology

Orville Jauregui is a Systems Engineer at Reliance Test & Technology, bringing extensive expertise in radio frequency (RF) and telemetry systems honed across defense and research environments.

His career in telemetry commenced as an Operations Engineer with TRAX International, supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Pacific Range Support Team (PRST). In this role, he provided critical engineering support for WSMR Transportable Telemetry Systems, overseeing long-range, high-data-rate telemetry collection and performing detailed antenna analysis for critical mission phases on land and at sea.

He then transitioned to the Department of Defense – Army as an Electronics Engineer at WSMR, where he was instrumental in enhancing range tracking station capabilities. He led the implementation of architectural changes for improved system remote capabilities, was a lead tester of new tracking systems, including calibration and antenna performance analysis. Orville also conducted missile simulations to optimize mobile telemetry system locations based on RF link analysis and led testing of receivers and signal generators to ensure equipment specifications.

Currently, as a Systems Engineer with Reliance Test & Technology at the National RCS Test Facility, he led the architectural design, including serving as a subject matter expert for developing comprehensive RF performance studies, utilizing MATLAB for advanced RF link margin analysis using Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) modeling, particularly for the F-35 Multifunction Advanced Data Link (MADL) telemetry system. In this role, he also supports RCS testing while collaborating with AFSMO to ensure no 5G interference occurs from the continuous deployment of 5G cell towers.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from New Mexico State University.
